Snow Trooper Commander

	Description: Snow Trooper Commander Prefix: TS Detachment: Blizzard Force Context: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back These troopers wear special cold weather gear for hostile climates

For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.

Required Costume Components
The following costume components must be present and appear as described below for approval .

	Helmet For 501st approval: Molded plastic or fiberglass helmet corresponding to the same colors as the armor Dark green flat lenses Imperial disk greeblie (Greeblie must have 2 steps or tiers ONLY) Hard plastic face shield .

	Duster For 501st approval: White / Off-White in color Must be made of a medium to heavy weight material that "pills" after wear. Should extend down to at least the tops of the boots but no further than the top of the ankle. Corners of the duster are rounded. Should include belt loops for belt.

	Chest Armor For 501st approval: rank bar two red squares over two blue (2 red squares on top) recessed area contains 2 gray squares on left 1 gray over 1 red on right 2 gray horizontal lines separate squares. Blue Pinstriping on left side of chestpate. 2 shoulder straps connected to the top of the chestplate.

	Back Armor For 501st approval: back armor (white) with various details as shown

	Shoulder Armor For 501st approval: Shoulder plates have the raised boxes to the top. Shoulders plates are connected directly to the duster

	Forearms For 501st approval: Forearms are fully closed.
	For level two certification (if applicable):

	Gloves For 501st approval: Gray or White leather gloves with a 4-6 inch cuff. The brand name WELDAS SOFTOUCH Tig/Mig gloves appear to be the closest to the screen used gloves. White Damascus D650 Gauntlets or White/Grey Fencing gloves are a perfectly acceptable alternative. The left glove cuff has a small commpad on it, approx 1.5" x 1.5" with the outer section slightly curved, and the inner section straight. The Commpad has a circular centre section about 3/4" high, and topped with a small silver disk, slightly smaller than the centre section in diameter.
	For level two certification (if applicable): Clear Raised buttons in a row along the flat side of the commpad, four or five in total.

	Handplates For 501st approval: Handplates are sewn directly to the gloves.

	Ab Plate / Belt Buckle For 501st approval: Belt passes through slots on narrowed sections on the side. A silver or gray button must be in the center. Belt Buckle may be worn with sloped section up or down, however the button piece must be placed so the single dot is toward the angled side and the two dots are towards the straight side. Belt is 2 inches wide and can be made of cloth, nylon strap or leather.

	Detonator For 501st approval: This is a gray cylinder 2 to 2.5" in diameter with white end caps and a white control panel pad, with controls closest to the right end cap. Detonator is centered on the back of belt.

	Pouches For 501st approval: Pouches are rectangular and boxy with an angled flap. Pouches secure to belt through loops on the back of each pouch.

	Pants For 501st approval: White / Off white pants required Acceptable examples are karate gi pants, "Dockers" or Painter pants, and US Army Cold Weather over-pants. No pockets, zippers or buttons should be visible when trooper is standing at attention. Covering of these items by the cod and/or duster is acceptable.

	Cod Piece For 501st approval: To be worn UNDER the duster

	Knee Armor For 501st approval: Knee armor is worn with the curved edge toward the top.
	For level two certification (if applicable): Secured with straps on knee plates wrapping around the back of the leg.

	Boots For 501st approval: White, Off white or light blue “moon” boots.

Optional Accessories
Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present must meet the guidelines below.

	DL-44 Blaster Pistol For 501st approval: Scratch built or high-end prop replica.

	Holster For 501st approval: Appropriate color & style for the weapon used. Should not be present if no weapon is carried with the costume.
