Context: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 1, Episode 9
Captain Faro Argyus was a member of the Senate Guard, a group of soldiers sworn to uphold the laws of the Republic. Argyus betrayed those vows, conspiring with Count Dooku and the Confederacy of Independent Systems to release Nute Gunray from republic captivity. His betrayal of the Republic and loyalty to Count Dooku earns him a place in the 501st.


The 501st approval requirements are listed in black.

The Sovereign Protectors Detachment defines two additional, optional levels of costuming excellence: Protector and: Sentential . In the page below, requirements for Protector are listed in blue. Sentinel requirements are in red. Please visit the Sovereign Protectors web site for a full description of these standards.

For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.

  • While this costume must be approved by the Legion Membership Officer, submissions should still go to the local GML, who will post the application in the appropriate section of the Legion forum.

  • Neck seal to be black in color with no ribbing. No logos or labels are to be visible. If the seal is not incorporated as part of the undersuit, a balaclava or other similar covering is acceptable.

  • Neck seal should close via 2 small black snaps in the front.
