Trained to operate in all conditions, Scout Troopers are the Imperial Army's advance eyes in any situation. Sometimes called Biker Scouts for their primary method of transport, the Aratech 74-Z Speeder Bike, Scouts have been deployed in theaters ranging from the sub-freezing temperatures of Hoth to the temperate climates of the moon of Endor.

The following costume components must be present and appear as described below for approval .

• Gloss white, semi-gloss, or lightly weathered.
• Licensed helmets are acceptable with modifications:
  • remove the manufacturer logo
  • replace stock lens
  • replace inaccurate "fish-hook" logo
  • replace stock bolts with flat-disc "elevator" bolts
  • replace inaccurate aerator.
• Fan-made helmets are acceptable as long as they remain true to shape of original screen accurate helmet.
  

• Chin cup should be present.
• No mesh should be in the ears.
• Details should be the correct color and placed as shown.

• A balaclava is a black head sock/hood that is worn under the helmet and is used primarily to hide any view of the wearer's skin and/or facial hair.
  

• Gloss white, semi-gloss, or lightly weathered.
• Black Elastic is used to secure the armor around upper arm.
• They do not have any adornment.
  

• Should be secured around bicep with a 35mm ( 1 & 3/8") black elastic strap; the shape of the film used ones should be noted (often curves on the bottom edge are over looked).

• Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered.
• Have a recessed area with a "t-bit" detail attached within.
• Black elastic is used to secure the armor around upper arm.
  

• Should include film-accurate "T-bit" detail and secured around the arm with a 35mm ( 1 & 3/8") black elastic strap.
• T-bit circle detail piece should face forward on each arm.

• Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered.
• Black elastic is used to secure the armor around forearm.
  

• Should be secured around the arm with a 25mm ( 1") black elastic strap.

• Black leather and gauntlet length.
• Detailed gloves that include-
  • Black suede or faux suede patches on top of the middle finger, index finger, and thumb.
  • Four tightly spaced ribs that span the knuckles.
• There are no labels/logos, clips, or external straps.
  

• Gloss white, semi-gloss or weathered.
• There is a recessed rectangular area present over the right breast that is painted a medium to dark gray.
• The chest armor and back plate should be joined together over the shoulder and the gap covered with a loop of white fabric.
• The sides of the chest armor are attached to the back plate by white elastic.
  

• Shoulder bridge straps attaching the front and back of the armor should be white cotton webbing; not Nylon.
• Side under arm chest/back straps should be 50mm (2") white webbing (off white if using off white pouches/drop box straps), but for trooping practicality 50mm white elastic is acceptable as long as the color matches.

• Gloss white, semi-gloss or weathered.
• The back plate has a tank attached.
  • The top of the tank is flat with a detail piece painted black, and must use the same greeblies as what is seen on screen. There is also a white painted circle and red line detail to be included.
  • The tank has a black stripe detail.
  • Scouts may have additional "rank indicators" that are present on the right side of the tank and can number anywhere from 0 to 6 stripes.
    

• Bullet tank on the back plate should have film-accurate greeblie tank topper detail, secured with single metal colored rivet in the center of the greeblie and properly placed pin striping and single rivet to hold the bottom of the tank; tank topper should be a separate greeblie to the tank itself.

• The undersuit is a one or two-piece black textile suit, such as military flightsuits, motorcycle racing suits, industrial work clothing (Dickies), or similar suit modified appropriately.
• Must have a suede or faux suede butt flap attached above the waist hidden by the cummerbund, rectangle in shape. The flap should be slightly narrower than the width of the trooper and stop slightly higher than the bottom of the troopers butt cheeks.
• Suede or faux suede thigh patches must be present, extending over the flight suit crotch and down the front finishing above the knee armor. The thigh patches must be secured by 50mm (2") black elastic, sewn in under the front and back of the thigh patch.
• Suit must not have any visible labels, logos or zippers (including built in flight suit pockets).
  

• Real suede should be used, and the suit should be fairly fitted and not baggy.

• Made out of black matt finish heavy weight cotton fabric.
• Sleeves should be padded and contain ribbing similar to the front of the cummerbund, the sleeves should end just slightly longer than the bottom edge of the shoulder armor.
• Must have a much wider neck opening than the flight suit
• Secured at the back using 50mm (2") black velcro.
  

• The vest should be separate from the flight suit and cummerbund.

• White or lightly weathered.
• Made out of white matt heavy weight cotton fabric and closes in back with 50mm (2") velcro.
• Should sit from just under the chest armor down to the waist.
• There should be no gap between the belt and cummerbund.
• Has a tapered crotch with inverted curve sewn in detail, made from the same material and sits between the legs and connects to the back of the cummerbund by a 50mm (2") black elastic strap.
• Has 6 or 7 (troopers choice) vertical stitch lines producing 5 or 6 raised ribs of equal width stitched into the front between where two fabric pouches are connected.
• Pouches may be white or off-white.
  

• The cummerbund should be separate from the flight suit and vest; there should be no visible external edge stitching on the cod or pouch flaps.

• Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered.
• The front and two "boxes" of the belt are made out of plastic.
• The rest of the belt that fastens at the back of the waist is made out a textile material, drop box straps can be white or off white (if using off white pouches and side straps must also be off white.
• The back of the belt has a rectangular thermal detonator box with short grey corrigated hose.
• The correct thermal detonator greeblies must be attached to the box, the rectangular part of the TD greeblie is the same as used in the rebel endor troopers rank badge, which is fixed on the left side of the TD, on the right the same round greeblie as what is used on the scouts tank topper. • Hanging from the sides of the belt are hip boxes, also made out of plastic. These are connected to the belt by textile straps.
  

• Belt should be one piece or made to look like one piece with no rivets, apart from one on each side to secure the fabric belt; drop boxes shouldn't hang too low.

• Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered.
• Black elastic is used to secure the armor around the leg.
  

• Knee armor should have two elastic straps: one that is 25mm (1") wide which passes through the knee armor on the bottom, and a second that is 12mm (1/2") wide riveted to the top sides of the knee armor, and left silver in color.

• White or lightly weathered.
• The soles of the boot should be tan while the rest of the boot should be white.
• There is a dog bone shaped strap that covers the bridge of the foot.
• The boots are secured up the back using 25mm (1") white velcro closure.
• The calf should come up just slightly underneath the bottom of the knee armor.
  

• The boots should have slots cut into the heels as seen on film, and the sole should be a single color with no visible stitching.

• Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered.
• Attached to the outside right side of the right boot by rivets, not straps.
• The blaster pistol should fit in the holster.
  

• Should be attached with four silver colored rivets.

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present must meet the guidelines below.

• Flat black, semi-gloss or slightly weathered.
• The pistol should not have any visible trigger, labels or logos.
  

• The scope should have lenses/discs cut into the scope to make it more realistic, but not decals representing cross hairs or similar.
