Darth Krayt was once known as A'Sharad Hett, a Jedi Master in the Clone Wars. After being captured and tortured by the Yuuzhan Vong he fell to the dark side, taking the name Darth Krayt. As Darth Krayt he rebuilt the Sith Order in his own image, eventually taking the throne of the Galactic Empire.
