Republic Commando: Scorch

	Description: Republic Commando: Scorch Prefix: RC Detachment: Clone Trooper Detachment Context: Star Wars: Republic Commando Game and Novels Republic Commandos were uniquely trained to work in groups as one. A habitual joker, Scorch the demolition man within Delta Squad, was never short of a clever wisecrack, even in the midst of battle.

The 501st approval requirements are listed in black.

In the page below, items listed in blue are recommended features that will improve the quality of the costume. Items listed in red are intended to further enhance the finished costume.

For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.

IMPORTANT: Effective June 1 2012, the 501st will no longer be approving realistic interpretations of Clone Wars CG characters. The armor sculpt must match the character being recreated. See this thread at clonetroopers.net for the differences between the sculpts.

This Visual Guide has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team and is certified for use as a minimum approval guideline for GMLs. GMLs are free to approve this costume type.

Required Costume Components
The following costume components must be present and appear as described below for approval .

	Scorch Helmet For 501st approval: Helmet should have burn or schorch marks all across it RC style Clone Helmet Matching Armor Color. The Helmet must be matte white base color with Grey color to match armor The helmet must be weathered. Black / Dark Blue Mirrored Visor, Motorcycle Visor. Helmet LED holder on right side of helmet with LED bulb. Blue Illumination in Visor (Preferably EL Wire, LED and Acrylic Rod also acceptable). (2) Aerators. Chin greeblie detail piece Black band across back of helmet on top. Grey band across back of hemet on bottom. Grey down back of ridges in back.

	RC Neckseal For 501st approval: Black vynl or leather type material 6 Sunken Trapazoidal pattern in front of bib 3 Raised Trapazoids on shouders of bib 4 or 5 neck ribs approximately 1/2" wide each.

	Scorch Chest For 501st approval: Matte white base color up to shoulder straps where it goes to Grey Blaster and burn marks on chest Angled grey to white transition on shoulder straps Armor must be weathered. Chest and back plate should match together at the sides with no gap, just a seam line or glued together seamlessly.

	Scorch Back For 501st approval: Matte white base color Grey on upper portion Armor must be weathered. Chest and back plate should match together at the sides with no gap, just a seam line or glued together seamlessly.

	Scorch Backpack For 501st approval: RC Backpack with 2 digit illuminated translucent ID number (62) and two handles mounted on bottom. The back pack shall attach to the armor without visible hardware. The back pack may be removable. If the back pack is removable the back of the armor shall be finished to match the rest of the armor. Backpack construction shall have no visible seams Backpack must be painted and weathered to match armor. Grey and Yellow to match rest of armor. Tubes with blue ringed tops on each side of pack. Double Brackets to mount each tube.

	Scorch Shoulder Bells For 501st approval: Matte white base color with Grey side color Sunken detail piece in center of Bell Detail piece will be painted black with area around it painted grey

	Scorch Biceps For 501st approval: Matte White base color Painted completely Grey Shield in side painted flat Black Must be weathered to match armor.

	Scorch Elbows For 501st approval: Matte White base color Painted completely Grey Must be weathered to match armor.

	Scorch Forearms For 501st approval: Matte White base color Grey and Yellow to match armor Must be weathered to match armor.
	For level two certification (if applicable):

	RC Gloves For 501st approval: Black over the wrist tactical gloves made of leather, nylon, or other low pile fabrics. Gloves must not show any labels or logos once the armor is on and cover any exposed skin.

	Scorch Handplates For 501st approval: Matte White base color Painted all Yellow to match armor Must be weathered to match armor Vibroblade goes on left hand.

	Scorch Abs For 501st approval: Matte White base color Must be weathered to match armor.

	Scorch Buttplate For 501st approval: Matte White base color Yellow and Grey paint to match armor Must be weathered to match armor.

	Scorch Thighs For 501st approval: Matte White base color Yellow and Grey Stripes to match armor Must be weathered to match armor Thighs should be seamless in their construction.

	Scorch Leg Pods For 501st approval: Mounted on right leg Matte White base color 3 blue LEDs in the bottom of each tube Red Triangle Markings on tubes Black elastic bands wrapping around leg to "hold" pods in place. Actually mounting is most often accomplished with post screws through the thigh and leg pods.

	Scorch Calves For 501st approval: Matte White base color Yellow and Grey paint to match armor Construction should make any closures hidden Front closure should be done so that the seam is to the inside of the leg Seamless construction is also authorized (if you can fit your foot through it). Knee plates should be attached to the calves Knees should be hinged to the calf so that they stand up straight with the calf, but can bend if the knee is in contact with a surface.

	Scorch Shoes For 501st approval: White, tall enough to cover the ankle and eliminate most of the black undersuit visible at the ankle area in armor. Boots must be lace-less (or laces coverable with strap shown and have flat soles or the checkered sole of the game image. The boots have armor detail to include a natural seam at the toe and a strap that goes over the top of the foot with two protruding disks at each side of the strap. There should be no markings or labels from the shoe makers. Painted Grey and Yellow to match armor.

	DC-17M with Anti-Armor Attachment For 501st approval: Grenade launger attachment that overhangs the left side of the weapon Electronics optional.
