Republic Commandos were uniquely trained to work in groups as one. The leader of Delta Squad, RC-1138 (Boss) rarely talks, except to give orders.

The 501st approval requirements are listed in black.
In the page below, items listed in blue are recommended features that will improve the quality of the costume. Items listed in red are intended to further enhance the finished costume.
For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.
IMPORTANT: Effective June 1 2012, the 501st will no longer be approving realistic interpretations of Clone Wars CG characters. The armor sculpt must match the character being recreated. See this thread at clonetroopers.net for the differences between the sculpts.

| This Visual Guide has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team and is certified for use as a minimum approval guideline for GMLs. GMLs are free to approve this costume type.

| Required Costume Components
|
|
The following costume components must be present and appear as described below for approval .
|
|
|
| Helmet For 501st approval:
- RC style Clone Helmet Matching Armor Color.
- The Helmet must be matte white or light gray base color and details.
- The helmet must be weathered.
- Black / Dark Blue Mirrored Visor, Motorcycle Visor.
- Helmet LED holder on right side of helmet with LED bulb.
- BLue Illumination in Visor (Preferably EL Wire, LED and Acrylic Rod also acceptable).
- (2) Aerators.
- Chin greeblie detail piece.

| Neck Seal For 501st approval:
- Horizontal ribs, between 1/4" and a 1/2" thick.
- 'Bib that covers the entire area within the neckline of the chest/back armor. The 'bib' should include the trapezoidal detail shapes and can be done with or without 3-dimensional features.

| Chest For 501st approval:
- Matte white or light gray base color and details.
- Armor must be weathered.
- Chest and back plate should match together at the sides with no gap, just a seam line.

- Matte white or light gray base color and details.
- Armor must be weathered.

| Backpack For 501st approval:
- RC Backpack with 2 digit illuminated translucent ID number (46) and two handles mounted on bottom.
- The back pack shall attach to the armor without visible hardware.
- The back pack may be removable. If the back pack is removable the back of the armor shall be finished to match the rest of the armor.
- Backpack construction shall have no visible seams
- Backpack must be painted and weathered to match armor.

| Shoulders For 501st approval:
- Matte white or light gray base color and details
- Armor must be weathered.
- Shoulder bells shall have recessed or attached resin detail in the centers.
- Right shoulder should have an additional covering with a white “handle” protruding from the side nearest the shoulder.

| Biceps For 501st approval:
- Matte white or light gray base color and details
- Armor must be weathered.
- Armor must be constructed with no visible seams.

- Raised or attached resin detail on the tops.

- Black over the wrist gloves made of leather, nylon, or other low pile fabrics.
- Gloves must not show any labels or logos once the armor is on and cover any exposed skin.

| Thighs For 501st approval:
- Matte white or light gray base color.
- Armor must be weathered.
- Armor must be constructed with no visible seams.

| Knees and Shins For 501st approval:
- Matte white or light gray base color.
- Armor must be weathered.
- Shins must be constructed with no front / outside edge seams. Rear/inner leg seams are acceptable.

| Shoes For 501st approval:
- White, tall enough to cover the ankle and eliminate any black undersuit visible at the ankle area in armor.
- Boots must be lace-less and have flat soles.
- The boots have armor detail to include a natural seam at the toe and a strap that goes over the top of the foot with two protruding disks at each side of the strap.
- There should be no markings or labels from the shoe makers.
