Republic Commandos were uniquely trained to work in groups as one. The sole survivor of Theta Squad, Darman was assigned to the newly formed Omega Squad as their demolitions expert.

The 501st approval requirements are listed in black.
In the page below, items listed in blue are recommended features that will improve the quality of the costume. Items listed in red are intended to further enhance the finished costume.
For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.
IMPORTANT: Effective June 1 2012, the 501st will no longer be approving realistic interpretations of Clone Wars CG characters. The armor sculpt must match the character being recreated. See this thread at clonetroopers.net for the differences between the sculpts.

- This CRL is a work in progress.
- While this costume must be approved by the Legion Membership Officer, submissions should still go to the local GML, who will post the application in the appropriate section of the Legion forum.

- Please note that the use of the word "should" below does not indicate that a requirement is optional. All instances of should will be replaced with must as this guide is completed.

| Required Costume Components

The following costume components must be present and appear as described below for approval .
|
|
|
| Darman Helmet For 501st approval:
- RC style Clone Helmet Matching Armor Color.
- Flat Black with blaster and scratch marks
- The helmet must be weathered.
- Black / Dark Blue Mirrored Visor, Motorcycle Visor.
- Helmet LED holder on right side of helmet with LED bulb.
- Blue Illumination in Visor (Preferably EL Wire, LED and Acrylic Rod also acceptable).
- (2) Aerators.
- Chin greeblie detail piece
- Black band across back of helmet on top.
- Grey band across back of hemet on bottom.
- Grey down back of ridges in back.

| RC Neckseal For 501st approval:
- Black vynl or leather type material
- 6 Sunken Trapazoidal pattern in front of bib
- 3 Raised Trapazoids on shouders of bib
- 4 or 5 neck ribs approximately 1/2" wide each.

| Darman Chest For 501st approval:
- Flat Black paint
- Blaster and burn marks on chest
- Armor must be weathered.
- Chest and back plate should match together at the sides with no gap, just a seam line or glued together seamlessly.

| Darman Backpack For 501st approval:
- Flat Black paint
- RC Backpack with 2 digit illuminated translucent ID number (36) and two handles mounted on bottom.
- The back pack shall attach to the armor without visible hardware.
- The back pack may be removable. If the back pack is removable the back of the armor shall be finished to match the rest of the armor.
- Backpack construction shall have no visible seams
- Backpack must be painted and weathered to match armor.
- Tubes with blue ringed tops on each side of pack.
- Double Brackets to mount each tube.

- Sunken detail piece in center of Bell
- Detail piece will be painted black with area around it painted grey

- Black over the wrist tactical gloves made of leather, nylon, or other low pile fabrics.
- Gloves must not show any labels or logos once the armor is on and cover any exposed skin.

- Flat Black paint
- Must be weathered to match armor
- Vibroblade goes on left hand.

- Must be weathered to match armor
- Thighs should be seamless in their construction.
- Explosive tubes
- Mounted on right leg
- Flat Black paint
- 3 blue LEDs in the bottom of each tube
- Black elastic bands wrapping around leg to "hold" pods in place. Actually mounting is most often accomplished with post screws through the thigh and leg pods

| Darman Calves For 501st approval:
- Flat Black paint
- Construction should make any closures hidden
- Front closure should be done so that the seam is to the inside of the leg
- Seamless construction is also authorized (if you can fit your foot through it).
- Knee plates should be attached to the calves
- Knees should be hinged to the calf so that they stand up straight with the calf, but can bend if the knee is in contact with a surface.

| Darman Shoes For 501st approval:
- Black, tall enough to cover the ankle and eliminate most of the black undersuit visible at the ankle area in armor.
- Boots must be lace-less (or laces coverable with strap shown and have flat soles or the checkered sole of the game image.
- The boots have armor detail to include a natural seam at the toe and a strap that goes over the top of the foot with two protruding disks at each side of the strap.
- There should be no markings or labels from the shoe makers.

| DC-17M with Anti-Armor Attachment For 501st approval:
- Grenade launger attachment that overhangs the left side of the weapon
- Electronics optional.
