Context: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, There are two Tonnika Sisters. One is Green and the other is Blue. They come ideally as a ‘pair’, although the costumes can be worn individually if desired. If worn as a pair, the Shorter of the two wearers should be the Blue Tonnika Sister.


  • This CRL is a work in progress.
  • While this costume must be approved by the Legion Membership Officer, submissions should still go to the local GML, who will post the application in the appropriate section of the Legion forum.
  • If you have this costume and would like to assist with this CRL, please contact your detachment leader!
  • Please note that the use of the word "should" below does not indicate that a requirement is optional. All instances of should will be replaced with must as this guide is completed.
Required Costume Components

The following costume components must be present and appear as described below for approval .

For 501st approval:
  • Hair must be black, straight and around armpit length. This can be achieved with the wearer’s own, hair, or a wig.
  • There are several small plaits that hang down the hair, starting from the top of the head.
  • The top of the head has a high, domed shape, with small plaits wrapped all around it. One or two small plaits can hang slightly lower than the hairline, across the forehead.

  • The collar is almost a triangular shape, with a point at each shoulder, and a dipped point at the front, and back.
  • It has alternating panels of black, and the same fabric used to make the briefs (light blue for Blue Sister)
  • Cuffs sit higher on top of the arm, and lower underneath the arm. They have a black panel on top, and the matching lighter colour blue underneath
  • The collar and cuffs have a thin black edge around them.

For 501st approval:
  • Belt is black leather or leather like material , about 3-4cm / 1.25" wide.
  • It has 3 clusters of 4 square metal tiles in a square, spaced 3cm / 1" apart, on either side of the buckle.
  • The metal buckle has a rectangular shaped base, with a circular piece on top of it. It then has a small cube shape, that meets in a pyramid shaped point in the middle.
  • It is worn straight across the top of the pants.

  • A black garter, approximately 2cm / 0.75" wide is worn on the right thigh.
  • It has large red stripes around it.
