The 501st Legion congratulates Aimee Jorgensen, TB-101, on her re-election as Legion Commanding Officer! Aimee returns for a third term in office, leading Vader's Fist into 2015, a year that will no doubt hold great things for the Legion and for Star Wars fans everywhere around the world!
Congratulations also go to all of the new and returning Garrison, Outpost, and Detachment Officers, and a hearty THANK YOU to every member who stepped forward to run for office, ready to volunteer their time, energy, and passion in service to the Legion that we all love. Congratulations to Valter Santos, BH-3738 of the Portuguese Outpost, our December Legion Trooper of the Month!
In December, Valter was instrumental in making Comic Con Oporto one of the largest and successful events on the Iberian Peninsula in Legion history. Not only did he arrange to get his Outpost ready for a major convention, but he went above and beyond to arrange travel and accommodations for troopers visiting from Spain, Ireland, and France. His efforts also helped raise 1.330 EUR ($1,650 USD) to benefit "Associação Portuguesa Contra a Leucemia” at the convention. Well done!
The Legion had three other worthy nominees in December: Kevin Wier, TK-812 of Southern California Garrison, whose efforts as an armorer has helped launch the 501st into the age of Star Wars: Rebels; Daniel Wong, TK-6316 of the Malaysian Outpost, whose charitable heart has helped raise thousands to benefit orphans; and Leigh Michaels, TR-3676 of Badlands Garrison, whose work on the Legion's charity Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/501stCharity) has raised awareness of the "Bad Guys Doing Good" around the world.
Congratulations to Walter and to all of our December nominees! Keep up the great work, troopers!

Members of the 501st Legion's Georgia Garrison had the great honor of presenting young Liam Porter with a custom-built prosthetic arm, styled after a real life Clone Trooper. The new prosthetic was created by John Peterson, a volunteer with the charity group E-Nable, which pairs 3D-printing artists with boys and girls who need new limbs. Liam is a huge fan of Star Wars, especially Clones, so Peterson invited the Empire's Finest to be part of the presentation to him. With all of the pomp and circumstance expected from the 501st, Liam was inducted as an Honorary Member of the Georgia Garrison, and struck speechless by how awesome his new arm.
Very special thanks go to Jennifer Belgin, ID-5361, who painted both Liam's new arm and a matching Clone Trooper helmet to go with it!

On the 26th of January, 2015, Debora Rojas (DZ-13480) of the 501st Legion’s Garrison Argentina, walked on to a world of peace and love. Debora is remembered for her charisma, unyielding sympathy, and companionship. She embraced the 501st Legion and we hugged back with video messages of cheer sent to her in hospice by members around the globe. Debora is survived by her adoring brother Emiliano Rojas (SL-8741).
As Debora becomes one with the Light it is with honour we now enter her name into the 501st’s Hall of Eternal Legionnaires: http://bit.ly/1afcGY4

The Legion Trooper of the Month for November 2014 was chosen from two very worthy candidates: Matthew Morley, TK-4108 of Old Line Garrison, and Terry Chui, TK-2886 of Outer Rim Garrison! Both men have given hours and hours of their time, regularly lending their expertise and energy to both their local garrison and by extension, the 501st Legion as a whole. Matthew has been a dedicated trooper, always ready to take on additional responsibilities and perform them admirably. Terry recently helped usher his Squad to full Garrison status, a task made far easier from his devotion and expertise as a leader.
Our October LTotM honors went to Matthew Morley. Congratulations, trooper!
Both he and Terry alike deserve a tip of the bucket and a hearty salute for all of the work that they have done. Thank you, gentlemen. You make your Empire proud!

The Legion had no less than five nominations for Trooper of the Month in October 2014: Daniele Alfonzo, DZ-3364 of Italica Garrison, who has put his organizational skills have made events far, far easier for his fellow troopers; Adam Cannon, TX-2943 of Alpine Garrison, who made a very special connection with a young fan at Tree City Comic Con; Anthony Paladino, TK-10666 of Empire City Garrison, who organized the first-ever "March of the 501st" at New York Comic Con; Raymond "Tray" Nichols, TK-4251 of Garrison Carida, who helped answer calls for technical assistance from around the world during the annual Legion Census; and Kirill Tikhomirov, ID-11100 of Russian Outpost, who worked with Lucasfilm and all of his fellow members of the outpost to conduct an extraordinarily successful appearance of the 501st Legion at the very first Russian Comic Con.
The decision was a very difficult one, but our Legion Trooper of the Month in October was Tray Nichols of Garrison Carida!
All of these members regularly go above and beyond the call of duty, and these few examples above do not come close to encapsulating everything that they have done --and still do-- each day for the fans, for their fellow members, and for the Legion as a whole. The Legion is stronger for having you in it. Thank you to each one of you for your tireless dedication and service in the name of the Empire and Vader's Fist!
