For 501st approval:
- Black, leather or leather-like, enclosed fingered, non-textured, fitted gauntlet style.
- No buckles, straps, or decorative stitching are permitted.
- The three straight lines on the back of the hand (that match some references) are permitted.

- Gloves shall be made of leather.

For level three certification (if applicable):
- Gauntlets shall slightly flair-out, upward from the wrist to the mid- forearm.
