Adam DeLancett, TK-66613, of the Florida Garrison, Makaze Squad!
Adam IS what most of us troopers aspire to be. As a Makaze Squad member of the Florida Garrison Adam joined one of the largest and busiest squads, in one of the largest garrisons, in all of the Legion. Adam hit the ground running, driven to do good in honor of his father, recently diagnosed with multiple melanoma. Adam organized fundraisers, formed a Relay for Life team called the Imperial Walkers as well as starting a blog http://troopforthecure.blogspot.com to inspire others and give his father something positive to read during his procedures. Adam raised $2,591 at his first Relay event alone, nearly topping Makaze's previous year's total in one single event. Adam is considered a children's hospital trooping alumni and regularly champions little heroes, taking pics with other troopers holding their stuffed friends, and posting the pics for the little heroes to see. Adam serves as an inspiration to all of us that we can do more. We can Troop for the Cure!
Runner up this month is Patric Bebie, ID-2122, of the Swiss Garrison for his outstanding work in planning and organizing 501st events at Celebration II in Essen, Germany.
Congratulations to Adam and Patric, keep up the great work in the name of the empire!
