On July 1st, 2012, comic book legend Stan Lee became an Honorary Member of the 501st Legion. At Oz Comic-Con in Melbourne, Australia, members of Terror Australis Garrison presented Mr. Lee with the honor. It was a great surprise to Mr. Lee, who commented that although he has met George Lucas, he had to travel half-way around the world in order to become a member of the Legion!

Mr. Lee established himself in the annals of history by co-creating such comic icons as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, The Avengers, Silver Surfer, and Dr. Strange. He also served as President and Chairman of Marvel Comics during the late 1970s and early '80s, where he oversaw the production of the Marvel Star Wars comic strip serialization and monthly Star Wars comic book series, both of which helped to establish the Star Wars Expanded Universe!

The Legion is honored to count Stan "The Man" Lee amongst its ranks! Welcome, Stan!
