The 501st Legion is proud to reveal the first image in our new "Empire's Finest," ad campaign!
Developed over the last several months by Rob Semos (TD-5085), with help from Dean Plantamura (TK-899), Brian Troyan (TB-8968), and Kristen Bankert of the St. John & Partners advertising firm, the campaign aims to highlight the Legion's charitable activities by juxtaposing them with our characters' Star Wars-canon events. At the same time, we aim to show off the incredible detail that is captured by the screen-accurate costumes worn by 501st Legion members. Everything that has been completed so far is merely the beginning of what will be rolled out over the entire coming year, leading up to Star Wars Celebration: Anaheim!

Andrew Wilcockson, TK-8547, Redback Garrison
Andrew has been instrumental in laying one of our own to rest. In February 2014, Craig ‘The Sniper’ Budge, DZ-7622, passed away suddenly. Andrew had been helping Craig and his fiancee relocate to the townhouse they had just rented. During this time Craig collapsed. Andrew immediately reacted and performed CPR for over 20 minutes, unfortunately without success. Since then Andrew has supported and helped Craig's family and fiancee in their time of need. He organised funeral arrangements and a wake for Craig. Craig's family also attended a troop in which a game of cricket was played in armor, where they dedicated the winning trophy in Craig's memory.
Andrew's conduct has been outstanding, above and beyond. He is the very symbol of the bond that all 501st Legion members share!
Runners up for February are. Richard Csernelabics, RC-6403, Garrison Tyranus and Dan Trippler, TK-10705, Wisconsin Garrison.
Congratulations to Andrew, Richard, and Dan!
Long live the Empire!

The 501st Legion's UAE Outpost has made their first successful mission in the name of the Empire! During TD-19976's solo patrol of the Middle East Film & Comic Con at Dubai World Trade Centre, he brought order to some rowdy Vikings, became part of a work of art, and ran into a ton of colorful characters and celebrities, including an encounter with true Royalty!
Read the full mission report in the 501st Legion Spotlight and be sure to become a fan of the new UAE Outpost Facebook Page to show your support for our troopers on the leading edge of the 501st Legion's ever-expanding Empire!

Jason Boyd, TD-5945, Carolina Garrison
Jason has done an amazing job this past year as the Carolina Garrison Events Coordinator, often setting up last-minute events with surprising results, including actively seeking out charity events near and far, such as organizing several successful Blast-A-Trooper events to raise money for families needing help with hospital bills and other expenses.
Very often The 501st Legion receives requests for birthday party appearances, many of which we are forced to decline for various reasons. As a show of kindness, Jason regularly sends special replies back to the children along with various Star Wars items. Jason recently received a very touching video reply from one of these children thanking him for his gesture.
Runners up for January 2014 are Mike Fessler, TK-9721, Central Garrison and Jeremy Horn, TK-11972, Central Garrison.
Congratulations to Jason, Mike, and Jeremy! Keep up the good work in the name of the Empire!
